WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF ISCA ALLEMANDERS SQUARE DANCE CLUB

Dancing at Mainstream and Plus levels

We are a very happy and sociable expanding club - aiming to have fun whilst enjoying Square Dancing.

Although we are the only active club in the immediate Exeter area, only a few of our members come from Exeter - most of our members travel in from quite a distance, ranging from Plymouth to Axminster, Exmouth and Sidmouth, Shaldon and Dawlish and many places in between!

We rotate our callers/leaders so no two weeks are identical, as they each have their own unique style!

ISCA ALLEMANDERS meet on Tuesday evenings 7.30 to 9.30 pm for some Mainstream but mainly Plus, and on Wednesday mornings 10.30 to 12.30 for Tuff Plus. Both sessions are a mixture of live callers and some recorded music. From January 2019 both sessions take place at Farringdon Village Hall. See map below.

TEACHING BASIC / MAINSTREAM / PLUS

In 2016 the very successful class at Exmouth, lead by John Petty and taught by Jeremy, ended when everyone graduated and were able to fully participate in both Isca and Axe Vale SDC. Janet Bulpin and Jean Stickland went on to form their own group, OTTER SQUARES, and now teach Mainstream and Plus levels at Newton Poppleford Village Hall in Station Road. See bottom map. The Basic and Mainstream class is 2 - 4.30pm on Thursdays (closed August), the Plus is on Friday mornings 10 - 12.30pm. When dancers are confident at Mainstream and are learning Plus, they are introduced to Isca Allemanders. New dancers are welcome any time. For further information, contact Ron at RonPeppin@btinternet.com. The sessions are always fun with interesting music. They include tea and coffee, and sometimes cake! They have dancers from a wide area in Devon, as well as locals, and they are a very friendly group.

Jeremy can be contacted for many different caller sessions: follow this link here
